Biaohua Yu (President)

He is a long time resident of the New Center area who is solutions-focused and committed to helping our community thrive. Professionally, Biaohua manage projects and people, and can wrangle anything together because of his panache for organizing. His aim is to maximize the use of CANCAN resources, strengthen neighborhood connections, and build on past successes.

Rheanne Suszek (Treasurer)

In her daily work, Rheanne leads people, programs, and projects focused on strengthening the community. For Rheanne, CANCAN is a meaningful way to connect with her neighbors, build stronger relationships, and give back through service. She values the opportunity to help create a community where everyone feels connected and can share in the benefits of a thriving neighborhood.

Brittany Galisdorfer (Secretary)

Brittany has called Detroit home for more than 20 years, first living downtown and, since 2012, on Delaware with her husband and son. She and her family love the outdoors and are committed to helping keep the neighborhood beautiful, clean, and safe.

Karen Johnson (Member-At-Large)

As a long-term homeowner in the New Center area, her interest is in providing services to the community…Melding the traditions of the New Center area with new creative ideas. Past CANCAN Board Treasurer.

Joan Miller (Member-At-Large)

Served on several neighborhood and association boards.  Her goals include communication, strategic planning, capital improvement planning, and engagement with leadership of all CANCAN associations.
